Gekokujo Mount And Blade

Mount & Blade: Warband. Since I am playing the new version of the Gekokujo mod right now, I figured I would add something I worked out today. There is a diagram of companion relationships included in the readme folder but I prefer the same thing in list form.

I STOPPED WORK ON THIS MOD A LONG TIME AGOBut there is a beta 3.1 patchI announced this in the Taleworlds forum, but not here, modDB, or Nexus. For that, I apologize. I released the 3.1 beta patch a long time ago in the same forum, because I wanted a small group of testers to iron out the bugs with the mod before I put it up here - you all only deserve a tight bug-free experience.

However, I hadn't expected to suddenly stop working on the mod, so only Taleworlds was left with 3.1 while you got nothing.I'm not restarting work on Gekokujo right now, but I am going to rectify one mistake by linking you to the 3.1 beta patch thread. It is playable and.mostly. bug-free, thanks to the good people in the Taleworlds forum, but it is not quite up to the standards I think a patch should be before it gets released on the Steam Workshop.

And most importantly, it's save-compatible with 3.0.A description of the changes are available in the beta patch thread:Installation Instructions:1. Find your Gekokujo installation directory in Steam2. Unclear behaviour of a mysql container running with 2. Install the contents of the patch over the filesI'm sorry that it's not automatic like subscribing to the mod, but I don't want to force it on people who don't want to try it.The patch is 41mb. If it is smaller than that, the download was corrupted and you should try a different mirror (Nexus or modDB are reliable).OLD DESCRIPTION:Gekokujo is a singleplayer total conversion mod for Mount and Blade Warband set during the Sengoku period of Japan.THIS MOD IS NOW FULLY UPLOADED TO THE STEAM WORKSHOP!The following websites have more complete descriptions of the mod:NEW GAME WARNING: It may take a very long time to start up a new game (that it looks like it must have crashed) because of the number of factions in play. I am working on improving startup time, but while that is still not fixed, I suggest starting a new game in windowed mode to allow you to do something else while it starts up.

Once your new character is made, you can save it and restore full-screen mode - starting a new game takes a long time, but loading an existing save is as quick as normal Mount and Blade.DUPLICATE INSTALLATION WARNING: For those of you that downloaded this mod manually before it was fully uploaded to the workshop, you now have two versions of gekokujo installed. I recommend that you uninstall the 'gekokujo' with a lowercase 'g' by selecting it in the launcher and clicking the trash can icon. You'll know that you're getting rid of the right one if it asks you if it's okay to delete.

The one you are keeping asks you if you want to unsubscribe (please don't!)After uninstalling the old one, you might want to move your saved games by going to your Documents folder and moving everything from 'gekokujo' to 'Gekokujo (Steam Workshop)'. I've played this mod for some time now and have noticed just how much time, work, and dedication you have put into this. Making something like this is clearly no small feat. You and the work you have done deserve far more credit and praise then it is getting. And you do it all for free.

I now people (including myself) that would pay money for a mod like this. You decided to share your work and imagination with the world for free. We need more people like that. Keep up the good work.
