Hi allI just got this amp and have been using it for a few films and some TV/games. It's been working, OK I havent yet had a chance to set it up or test it out yet. When using it just there, after about 30-60 mins it just went into standby mode and I can't get it to come back on again. It currently sits there with the orange standby light, it's unresponsive to the front panel switch and remote. The manual says un plug for 3 minutes then put in standby and press Tone to reset it. I've done this a number of times.

Still not working.Have unplugged all connections and there is no crossed wires etc at the back.I've took the cover off had as good a look as I can and it's a bit dusty but I can't see any blown/expanding capacitors or any other obvious problem. Theres a few boards in there and I can't quite see under them without removing them which i don't want to do at this point.Does anyone have a service manual for this unit or know what the problem is likely to be? What should I do now? A bit dissapointed as I didn't even get a chance to give it a good testing. Thanks all.

Yup, had one for around 4 weeks now, looks gorgeous, and sounds even betterNone of the harshness of my old Yamaha. Logic 7 does and absolutely fantastic job or creating surround information from stereo sources. I was just watching a movie with only a 2 channel pro-logic track last night, I could have sworn it was a dd 5.1ex mix.Its a great bargain, basically a 4550 but cheaper and looks a helluva lot nicer (none of that las vegas slot machine look of the older range). I do wonder what they have compromised on though, it being £50 - £100 cheaper than the 4550, actually I dont really want to know, I'm really happy with it, don't want to start finding flaws alreadyOnly 2 component inputs, I'm not using them as it would require huge runs of component cable as Projector + HTPC + Game Consoles are right at the back of the room and amp is at the front.Alex. Witters/ amordue re 507 did either of you compare 507 with a denon av, i currently have denon 3802 and would like better 2 channel sterio.have just downloaded 507 pdf manual for quick browse and could do with some enlightenment please.is 507 7 channel reciever?? Phono stage for turntable??witters the 507 seems to be rated at 50 watts per chanel all driven, 65 watts for sterio and 80watts for front 2 channell sterio??/witters i did own the arcam a85 and found compared to denon 3802 the arcam was more powerfull, just wondered how 507 compares to a85 in this respect.did ask local 7 oaks some time back how hk compares with 3802 in 2 channel but this was regarding the higher price/spec model at about £900 not sure exavcklythank you.
